As the first true assault weapon firing munitions from a rifle instead of a pistol round the MP-44 was the most effective overall individual weapon of the war. Had they been produced earlier and in sufficient numbers the war for the Allies wiould have been significantly more difficult. It's overall performance was dramatically superior to the MP40. Very very few were actually employed relative to the MP-40 and only late in the war.

2nd bat really hit the hammer on the head there. the real secret behind the mp44 was its ammunition. it used a round with a lesser charge which resulted in a much more managable kick. many soldiors couldnt handle the high kick of the fg 42. so yes the mp44 was definiteley more preffered but it was not nearly as avalable as the mp40

Yes. They actually had to rename it the Stg44, because Hitler thought it was just another MP, or machine pistole. But once he saw it in action, he was very impressed. Actually, much of the war went that way. When the Kriegsmarine admirals wanted to have more U boats made, Hitler thought they would be fine with the ones they had, and by the time he did have more begin to be made, it was too late for them to have a profound affect. His biggest blunder of the war, though, in my opinion, was invading Greece and Yugoslavia after the Italians failed to conquer Greece. The few weeks wasted there were crucial to the timetable of the Soviet winter, and probably cost Paulus from capturing the city.

well since there is no mid class, i would go with the cheap springers, they look real from a distance, and i skirmished with my friends springer mp40 verisons against his AEG ak47, he did win, but only because i was flanked by his little brother with this mini m16, haha

Or get a TOP MP40 and breech load every BB and hook some kinda hose to the hop-up and blow relly hard. When my MP40 WAS working I could blow BB's long down range then the gun could.
I would get the SRC or Marushin one when there out.

I would think the MP-40 would be the prefered assult weapon because its not to heavy and easy to reload

Try not to necropost. If you feel you must contribute to a thread that's been inactive for 6 months, make sure it has a great value of insight.

If you want a cost-effective Mp40 get a full metal AGM Mp007 (MP40)
