I got a couple airborne uniforms from them. (Militaria Kcs) and was quite impressed. They shipped quickly and the suits looked fine. They left out the spare pockets and the flag brassards they promised but other then that! The suits represented a good deal I thought.

Jmurray is nice but they cookiecut their helmets *make a bunch and toss you one* go to www.lawdogsteelhelmets.com He is a great guy and custom makes YOUR helmet, or refinishes or rebuilds whatever by hand. His aging technique is truly unbelievable. Go to him instead. He knows his crap.

2nd Bat, It's 99 dollars for the paratrooper pants and jacket, correct? If so, I'm gonna start with them ;D. Mauser, I was actually thinking about purchasing the helmet and liner from militaria-kcs and then getting an M1C Conversion kit from Jmurray ( I thought their helmets were too pricey anyhow, lol). What do you guys think? Good start?

Always factor in shipping. A helmet is a heavy and bulky item and shipping from Asia is going to be substantial expecially if you're then going to ship it somewhere else as well. I seem to remember that the unifroms were something like $100.00 bucks.

Oh yeah, shipping wont be a problem. I was just curious as to if the pant AND jacket came together at 100 dollars instead of 100 for the pants and 100 for the jacket. If so, 100 for everything would be awesome.

2nd Bat, It's 99 dollars for the paratrooper pants and jacket, correct? If so, I'm gonna start with them ;D. Once again guys, I am also a distrubutor of the same uniforms that are on ww2kcs.com. The uniforms are $99.00 BUT you have to pay shipping from HONG KONG and that starts at about $30.00 and rises fast the heavier the parcel gets. If you order from me the sets are about $130.00 (due to import duties) BUT if you need to return or exchange them I am here in the US and return shipping won't cost you $30.00 everytime you need to ship something back & forth. So you'll pay about the same either way...but at least I am domestic and not halfway around the world. A lot of guys have bought sets from me on this forum...anyone wanna back me up here? ;D

So far I have only bought jackboots from you, and have a panzer uniform coming. It is indeed MUCH better to get from a dealer inside the US, and especially a dealer that is very cooperative, such as Zak. I think it would be better to order from him.

J Murray is one of the best in the business. I have never heard any complaints at all. A guy in my unit showed me the helmet he got from Jmurray. It was top of the line. Pricey - but worth it.

Lawdog has his secret, but his is a lot more authentic looking and a LOT less bunched up than j murrays.

all I know is that J Murray gets only high marks for his work - I have only heard people complain about his prices before they make their order - never after they see the product. Also, whether bunched up or not, J Murray's are virtually identical to every original I've compared them to....

jmurray is being praised because people dont really know how REAL original m1 helmets in mint unissued condition look like. ive owned several (mint originals) and compared many repros by these vendors: jmurray, toppots, warhelmets, and 2cylinder *formerly known as hale repro*. jmurray's OLD runs (ive seen jmurray's stuff since the beginning in 2000, i know his stuff) were FAR more superior in texturing but these days (im guessing due to countless amounts of orders) their helmet qualities are getting lower and lower. im guessing they just simply cant spend much time on each helmet as they have to keep up with the order. their texturing is getting bad to the point the point where it even looks like nam era texture or even smooth finish helmet. their helmet liners although i believe are best out there in my experience. their webbing is simply awesome. but when it comes to helmet shell, yes i agree lawdog is pretty good. also look at 2cylinder or warhelmets on ebay, those vendors ive dealt with many times and they are very good too. helmet chinstrap = 2cylinder ALL the way. the best chinstrap in the market. Good start? as for buying helmet from militaria kcs and getting conversion kit from jmurray, DONT do it, its PURE waste of money and u will end with FARB helmet that will cost more than good repro. you pay $60 for that crap helmet, and roughly 30 for shipping. that is $90 already you buy liner conversion kit from jmurray for $60 sweatband $24 leather chinstrap $15 m1c chinstrap $18 total comes out to $207 for YET still Flaggrantly Wrong helmet (it will still be rear seam and Flaggrantly Wrong foreign helmet shell and liner, and all the conversion will be done by yourself and i guarantee it would not look good unless you have actual machines to do it) when you could have paid $194.99 + shipping (roughly 10) which comes out to ALMOST SAME PRICE for CORRECTLY restored GOOD helmet

Does anyone know how the airborne helmets from atf are? I know they are considerably cheaper, And i am NOT going to pay 200 dollars for a bloody helmet when I already have a vietnam one that I got for 45. Wait, is there a way to convert an infantry helmet to airbore?
