Any chance of a November event before I hang up the helmet for the year?

I would like to see a winter game, but TG brought up a good point, that we might not have as big a turnout becuase of a lack of winter clothes. Also, of course, gas guns don't function very well in cold weather and it would make alot of complications and the agme wouldn't be as fun. If we do have a November event, I would still go, I would just have to tough out the coldness, no big deal!

Something to consider is this. Seeing as we probably saw our last event of the year on October 7th, we should start talking seriously about attending "Reenactorfest II" as a group. For those of you who are not familiar with Reenactorfest check out this link: www.reenactorfest.comI attended the first one last year and it was a blast! Tons of vendors, seminars, and lots of great people...from all time periods. WWII was the majority in attendance though. I had a WW2AA display set up last year and it was a big hit. However, I was the only WW2AA member there. We need to "band together" and really all take part in expanding this hobby. This is a GREAT opportunity to all get together, hang out, socialize, and promote the WW2AA. Let it roll around in your noggins fr a few days. And lets's consider it. Reenactorfest II is being held February 2,3,4, 2007.

Definately, I will be there! Might I suggest we try to stay in the same theater of Ops considering maybe people will get weirded out with mairnes in with paratroopers or somthing. Or maybe we could promote that as one of our pluses, the wide variety of units? I will most likely go as my US 45th ID impression, becuase that is coming more complete than my Italian one, and by february I should have everything.

Guys this is open to ALL theaters, and any impression you want. HOWEVER...IT MUST BE 100% HISTORICALLY ACCURATE!
You will need to pass an authenticity inpection prior to entering. PM me for the criteria of that inspection. I do not want to go parading around there with a farb fest. They (the reenactors) will eat us alive!

I'll definitely be there. It's right here in Arlington Heights? How can you argue with that? lol. This would be a great oppurtunity to recruit, as it were.

Sorry for the second post.
Ok I am debating about my Marine impression now, I do have alot of US Marked gear, but as everyone here knows thats because Im doing early USMC with mixed gear, but how will the guys at Reenactor fest take that? Will they be able to catch on to that or would I have to go around telling every person who comes up to me asking about it the reasons fo the Gear mix? Also would I even get in without straight USMC marked gear (which I might add they bearly ever had)
