I thinking of getting a Garand, but I have a question. Does the magazine go "PING" when it pops out of the gun, because its cool when real garands do that. Thx!

contrary to popular belief the ping sound will actually occur when the empty magazine hits the ground

Take a 10 ounce piece of shaped plastic and drop it on a cement floor. Then take that same piece of plastic and drop it on the ground. That's what you'll hear when the garand clip pops out of a Marushin Gas garand (IF it pops out) In otherwords not much.
It's more of a visual sensation then anything else and it is anything but consistent and predictable (unfortunately) Even if it were smooth and predictable (A mainstay of the real garand but unfortunately not the replica Gas Garand) Imagine now having to look for and retrieve the expended clip in the heat of a game. Reload a new one and get ready for your next 8 rounds of mayhem.
As I have said many times, be advised the Marushin Gas Garand is more a plinker and novelty weapon or carry around piece then a skirmisher. It's beautifully done and clever but not very practical.
