Guys, I just got the scw ver2
lots of little differences, biggest difference is a higher capacity (much better designed and made) magazine.
here is a quick explanation of the versions
Original WA 1911 (first version)
Good heavy guns, nothing to compare too because they were the first.
Rattled a bit if you shook it in your hand...
SCW version.
Shyuba custom works (spelling) Tweaks the WA 1911 to be far more efficent, the rattle was virtually eliminated, and the magazine lasted longer,
Bad points: the gun was now quieter with less recoil, which didnt match up to the hommage due to the heavy hitting .45 of reality. Owners of both guns will also notice tiny cosmetic differences.
SCW version 2
No rattle at all, Slightly improved recoil and noise, the best version yet, but the difference between the models requires careful examination.
One thing i noticed about the version 2, is the hammer is much much lighter than on the original SCW, this probably causes alot less wear on the gun, so I will assume its an improvement.
Another difference in the Version 2 is a new magazine!, Double stacks allowing for more rounds!
The mag also uses plastic at the top end, (where bbs used to get scratched by the metal) an Idea borrowed from Marui. all and all, the SCW ver2, has a much improved magazine.
also the follower design (the thing that pushes the bbs up) that I belive helps preserve the pistonthen it travels over an empty mag.
So, SCW ver 2 has improvments, but does nothing radical to the traditional WA 1911 design that so many of us love.
Personally givent he choice, I would get only SCW ver2 1911 pistols from now on, as I see all the new features really seem to point toward a much longer service life. Considereing that all 4 of the 1911s I own still function fine, WA 1911s live a long long time.
