I know that this isn't a ww2 gun but I was wondering if the TM Boys guns were any good?

They are not 1:1 scale...an' are not built the same as many 1:1 AEGs out there. It escapes me as to why you'd want to get one, unless you are really tineh

I know a guy who bought a dozen of them for his 8 year old son and his buddys to play with. THEY were dissapointed with the performance and lack of range! Definitely kids guns

Given the short range (They shoot at about 200 FPS) w/ 12 gram! You can probably hit a person sized target at 30 feet with most shots. They are truly disappointing. The magazines are goofy and hard to get used to. They are really not worth the money except perhaps in the case of a very young kid. Literally eight to 10 year olds.
I helped my buddy with his sons birthday party and the kids had a fun time and it was fun to watch but the guns are awful and I was constantly fiddling with the magazines so they'd feed properly. Some of the cheap chinese guns are getting actually pretty good UTGs (MP5 and AK) in particular seem to shine. They are in the $100.00 range and at that might provide viable internals for custom conversions. Space and magazine feeding being as usual the biggest challenges.
