Ok I know that this is not a WW2 gun by any means, but I want to try and help my friend out in any way possible.
For his Birthday he got the UTG M324 Sniper Rifle, I have to say for $150 (special offer price) It is an amazing shooter.
But about a month ago him and I were dueling it out, it was the first time I had gotten to play with my Thompson, and him his Rifle. We had fun and then decided to switch guns. So we did, the rile worked the entire game, then on the last shot I pulled the bolt back on the gun and the handle attached to the actual bolt broke off completely in my hand.
When him and I looked inside it the metal they had used to make the bolt, was full of air bubbles and right where the bolt broke there was a massive area by the side wall that was an air bubble, a manufacturing default, weird huh?
So now he has tried to contact the company he got it from SHORTYUSA.com but they have not returned his E-mail for about two weeks concerning his problem.
So I Guess my question to you is, how can he fix this gun, and if SHORTY refuses to help him in replacing the part can you direct me to a supplier.
Thanks TommyGunner

Get what you pay for. There's a reason the price is so low. Obviously at the dollar amount paid there is a limit as to how much expense in shipping and repair time is reasonable. Pitty as it does sound like a materials flaw but that is part and parcel with inexpensive guns that use pock metal parts.
The part that broke sounds like a part that gets' quite a bit of stress. The cocking handle so a repair with JB Weld even if reinforced with metal rod or bracing is probably not going to hold.
