yeah...well aside from the slide lock problem, when i fill my mag up with green gas (or whats left of it) and i begin to shoot, the gas shoots out from under the slide and it does it about 4 times before the guns hammer goes into semi-cocked mode and the gas shoots out from the barrel. Also, sometimes the BB doesnt even shoot....WTF IS HAPPENING?!?!...thanks...

It's to do with the fill valve and the exit valve being cheap pieces of applesauce .
The fill valve doesn't work in the same way as a Marui for example. On a marui pistol, as you fill the mag with gas, you can hear gas jetting back out. This is to allow the gas out, so you can replace it with liquid. This allows you to get many more full power shots, i.e with liquid expanding into gas when there fired.
On WE mags (and KJ Works and any other cheap pistol) they don't have this exit valve. This is why when you fill it you don't hear alot, because all that is happening is your pressurizing the mag to the same pressure as your can of gas, so you will have very little liquid, hence you get a few weak shots. This is also why the slide lock doesn't always engage, because there is not enough omph to get it to reach the lock back point. (also, it might be because its a cheap pistol the bit that locks the slide catch might be to small)
As for the gas firing out from under your slide. This is also a cheap valve, the valce doesn't have a very good seal at the rear when the hammer strikes it, so as it moves forward gas, pisses out the back of the mag and then all over the place. When my boss test fired a baby hicapa 3.8 he got a face full of very cold gas as it shot out the back :S This is causing massive gas consumption as well. Hence why your only getting 4/5 shots.
The gas is shooting from the barrel after this, because there is not enough gas being released to push the slide back and recock the hammer, so it stays rested on the firning pin, expelling all the gas.
BB's not firing = not enough oomph to move the chamber past the pellet, to allow it to chamber a round, but enough to cock the hammer (which happens first)
Solution, buy new fill/firing valves for your mags......if you can source fill valves that is.
Morale of the story : buy Marui, it just works

with a spot of luck, the best place to find them are magazines that are buggered in some other way, firing valves any good retailer should stock them, its the threads that are the buggers
