Hey All, Ben here. Just recently, I decided to have a small game with the neighbors' kids, and being in such close proximity, I thought it best to pull out the all faithful Top MP40; the damn thing crapped out on me just shy of 4 games; it stopped shooting, and the gearbox proceded to give a loud "rrrrrreeeeeeeeeee" sound, spitting out nothing. So, I decided to pull out the next softest thing available: the Hudson Grease Gun. It seemed to work fine. I sprayed it with a lil' Remington spray to get the components working fine; lubed up the magazine just right; filled it with a lil' 134 gas, and let it rip. Got 2 kills on it too. Unfortunately, that's when the gun just went hey-wire. All of a suddon, the blowback feature took off like a bat outta' Hell, and completly on its own, firing not one, single round; just going off on its own. Has this ever happened to any of you? If so, let me know your thoughts on the situation; anything would greatly be appreciated.---Ben

the bolt was not traveling back far enough, probably because of low gas. Grease gun mags hold a hell of alot of gas.
"Remington spray" sounds really scary, like something that would be corrosive to the plastic... please say that its "Remington silicone spray" or "Remington plastic-safe spray"
if thats not the case, it my have eaten the rubber and plastic in the bolt.
good luck -Gordak

I have had that same problem ever since I purchased my grease gun. I still haven't figured it out too. I would also like to hear anyone elses opinions on the matter...

sam is right on this one..usually its from not enough gas in the mag,or its not being given time to cool down between bursts which would lead to low pressure as well.

Hey how do you know when a greaser mag is filled up is my question? Oh and what happens to your gun when you put propane in it?

What kind of lube is good for the greaser because i stripped mine down now that i got it back finally and i can tell it needs to be lubed. Also if the gas is cold from sitting in an airconditioned house does that affect the way it fires? because i put the last of it in and i fired a few rounds of before the bolt started just kind of vibrating more than moving back and forth like it should.

Edit button child,
But, Propane is no good, it does bad things to the bolt and recoil mecanism.
USE SILICON ONLY as a lubricant, anything else will melt the plastic, like Gordak said.
Yes, cold gas will affect the was it shoots, but I'm not sure what the problem is with yours.
