Anyone tried these yet. They just kind of popped on the market and i didn't hear anything about it till I started seeing them on the airsoft sales sites. I'm pretty sure thats not a Mauri. They don't have the MP40 anywhere on there line up I'm pretty sure that is just a TOP MP40

I'm, not so sure about. In the description they compare the metal internals to the top mp40 and mention it is mechanically superior to the top mp40 and it uses a metal piston as opposed to Tops plastic bellows. Why is it so much more expensive? Expecially in comparison to the Thompson? I also think there's something wrong there. Why wouldnt anyone else carry it? Especially major retailers like Redwolf

I'm not sure. Redwolf simply states they anticipate a release of a marui mp40 this year but no conformation, I know the M1A1 Thompsons were $500-$550 when they first came out and I had to wait for about 18 months till the prices dropped to $350 before i bought one. They were pretty high dollar when they first came out. I have found 7 websites selling this marui mp40. i don't know if it's a scam or the real deal, That's why i asked here. i figured someone here might know. Why is it so much more expensive? I think both websites are run by the same company, becuase they have nearly the same description, and they both say this at the bottom of both descriptions:
Why would they promote TOP if they are selling a tokyo marui?

no, i believe its a mauri, i mean if RedWolf said they were gonna release it in a year like said above, then maybe they dont have it in stock. It seems like 79% bullet proof, im not sure and i wouldnt buy one since im just part of the allies.

This could be a scam.
I did some research and there is a law against making full metal airsofts in Japan and if Top were to make an airsoft it would not be all metal as Japanese law prohibits it.
Also after all the hoopla about it being a marui it has in Bolder lettering,
"Very authentic look and feel. If you're looking for an authentic WW-II classic then the TOP Maschinenpistole 40 Schmeisser is just about as perfect a replica as you can own. "
If they are selling a marui why would they promote the Top at the end of the item description.
Then there is the company name itself "Pyramid" airsoft.
Just the name "Pyramid" makes me suspicious, Probably a scam now that I really look at it.
Nice dream though, I just hope no one get's taken.

Don't you think if Marui was actually going to come out with a revolutionary, affordable, mass produced German weapon THEY would want to announce it and not some no name online airsoft retailer?
It's has all the same characteristics of a TOP gun.
It's a TOP, the site phucked up.

Sorry, I thought this was a board about gaining information on WWII airsoft and getting impressions correct. Forgive me for being an uninformed idiot. Mavrick~you didn't get the hint with the first round hence you needed another interjection. No-one would like a quality TM MP40 more than me but that ain't one of them. No sense in perpetuating bad information with more bad conjecture and wishful thinking. And as stated it has been covered before on these forums...

either way,..given the popularity of the german WW2 thing in japan,if TM did make an MP40,they would have had it all over the last year's worth of trade shows and such...now,early on, word was that they were going to put one out as a counterpart to the thompson when it was first released but got spooked by the initial slow sales of the M1A1.those didn't really take off until after SPR and BOB came out.by then they had cancelled it.though a decent quality MP40 and Stg44 in an aeg would probably sell like hell at this point.or you can just hold out for the marushin 8mm gbb MP40 coming out next year.......

I would happily give my left nut and 500-600.00 for a decent working AEG Stg44 or MP40 the later being more useful as the Stg44 was late late war, but when has that ever stopped me.
