i just got my thompson off of ebay used and as of now im trying to disassemble it. it didnt come with a manual and im trying to take apart the main body/reciever and cant find how to. im sorry if this was mentioned before but i dont remember seeing it. so help me obiwan kenobe your my only hope.

It is very simple. Unscrew the 2 big screws on the bottom of the stock (one long one which lock the stock to the upper and lower receiver; the short one in front which lock the stock to the lower receiver). Disconnect the small battery connector once you have released the stock from the lower receiver. Push down the small button at the bottom end of the upper receiver and then slide the lower receiver backward for may be about 1 inch or so, now the upper and lower receiver is seperated. That's it....hope this help

ahh that was easy. yeah i figured out how to take the stock off but was stuck on seporating the 2 reciever parts. thanks a lot eugene. admins you can delete this forum now if you want
