Does anyone know if it is possible and what it would probably take to attach an S&K scope mount (http://www.scopemounts.com/) or an iron elite mount (http://iron-elite.com/k98k.html)? Which would be the less damaging do you think? I only ask because I'm not too familiar with modifying the Tanaka K98 or real firearms for that matter. Any info you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated (especially you Gordak, I know you know some info on this ) Thanks guys.

those look like non intrusive, but historically inaccurate.
The gun is already set up for a 50 dollar scope, Id just use that one (tanaka).

Lol, that zf-41? I've been using it and it's worked pretty well but sometimes I'd like a little more magnification. So I figured I'd go for one of those mounts. I;'d like to have the turret mount like you do but I can't afford one of those right now. Besides it would cost more than the gun did, lol (I know, I'm a cheapass ).

Try to find one that looks like "the side rail mount" that should be cheaper. Im sure with enough digging youll find one that looks good. Oh yeah, I took myKar98 out for a test run a few days ago. I took aim at a can of soda, set up at a distance of 200 feet, missed, made a correction and on the second shot, toppled the can! 200 feet!!!! imagine the things I could do with a human size target! -Gordak
