Hi, My name is Brett Boatenreiter and I'm starting to get into WW2 german reenacting. I'm thinking about geting a shoei mp44. I dont care about cost. My price limit is around $2,500. What do you guys think? I may sell my SAW and work hard for a few months to get it.
thanks for any help, Brett B.
P.S. A SAW is a waste of money in airsoft.

Wuts up man welcome aboard! I personally havent seen the Mp44 in the field so if you can find one go for it. If you cant find one of those get the MG-42. Again Welcome aboard and good luck!

I wont the Escort powered one (I'm a classic airsofter so when you say blowback that makes me mad, LOL). The AEG one is applesauce from what I'm hearing.
Will the MG42 be a good gun if I just put the rubber hose(better ROF) in it and replace the o-rings(whats his name on here that has one says the o-rings are applesauce )? But I'm starting to hate how people just sit when I lay down fire so that may not be a good gun for me.
29ththerealpimps, I dont know if I can get it untill about 3 months from now. I all ready know a few places in hong-kong to get the gun at and extra mags. The reason I'm not geting it for 3 months is that I just got a JAC M16A1car and upgraded it and I still need to get my German gear from singapore. I'm haveing to sell 2 of my guns just to get my gear and a maruzen P38.

This is gonna sound really stupid if your already a classic guy, but have you tried classicairsoft.net ? Last time I looked on there they had some real good info on those guns. Honestly, it's the best Escort powered gun you can get for the money. I got one of the SP M16's and it sucked horribly as stock (bad hop, easily breakable valve, etc). But the mp44 comes with adjustable hop (correct me if im wrong ;D) better valves, and overall just sounds to be of better quality than any other Escort gun out there. And conveniently enough, it's WWII! Even better! LOL. But yeah, check out that classic site if you havent already been there, it's a a great place for info.

I'm not asking about were to buy one. But more like how it feels and how well it is in a game.
And you are right most escort based guns are no good and need alot of mods (except the MP5).

Oh, lol.
I got some info not one bit detailed. But I keep hearing its a good gun. They keep on saying the mags are hard to find, I myself know about 5 places that have them in stock.

Yeah, I havent really seen them for sale anywhere now that you mention it. Then again, I havent really taken the time to look for them, lol. I wonder how hard it would be to make some and what internals you'd need.

You can make a Hi-cap out of a M4 mag but it would be hard to make if you ask me. I dont wont to try it.
