for a while i've contimplated making a prop bazooka or even one that fired either nerf rockets, 40mm rounds (i know that the bazooka isnt 40mm) or some other type of same projectile. has anyone ever done this before and if so how. i only want to spend about 200-350 dollars on this thing and probably base it off some pvc type pipe.(getting supplies for this wouldnt be that hard because we own a hardware store) any advice on how to do this

If you take a look at the RPG7 I built I also have a bazooka built just like it that we have used for WW2 events. When I get some time I will take a picture of it for you.

I still have that launcher and shell for sale, if you want to use a nerf for it they sell a mad bull shell that shoots a nerf like rocket instead of bbs. PM for info.

You certainly will be able to build a viable and realistic looking Bazooka that operates very well for in the neighborhood of $200.00 or less. If dan doesn't get pictures up of his I'll post my 90mm pictures.

yeah a bazooka seems like a good project. im trying to make something with my dad and a bazooka seemed like a good choice because its a crew served weapon. also its fairly crude and simple to get the general design. eventhought i think were not making it out of metal i know how to do some simple welts for cosmetic parts

The mechanism and tolerances are just not that hard compared to an AEG or custom gun. A bazooka was frankly just a tube with a simple trigger mechanism and slapped on shoulder staock and mild rail and a couple barrel baffles. If you slide in a ball valve CO mecanism as your round and have your assistant fire it you replicate very accurately the operation and actions of a bazooka team. The other approach is to use an inserted self contained round using the 40mm mosscart grenade rounds as a projectile source. The first design can be extremely powerful and create ranges not unlike a real bazooka (130 yards) with nerf football shaped rockets and the second can produce tamer more scaled ranges of roughly 120 feet.

I think your bazooka and your 57mm look fine, Especially your bazooka. What did you use to create the blast basket in the rear and the front baffle? Or did you fabricate them yourself?

the blast attenuator at the rear is done by modifying a 2"to 3" pvc coupler.the muzzle is done with the same item....

ok, i read your post on the Florida Airsoft site. (amazing things happen when you google airsoft bazooka). your method seems a lot more effective than the 40mm idea so i think im gonna go with that. if your thinkin about selling it then talk to me but if not detialed plans or instructions when you get the time would be appreciated and may result in a monitary reward : ). thanks a bunch
