I just bought a TM Thompson on ebay today and I was wondering if any companies are putting out 30 or even 20 round magazines for a decent price?
I know I can just load 30 rounds into a magazine but the cheapest I can find are $28 60 round magazines.

Ah what I'd give for some 20rnd standard magazines. I've actually contemplated converting the 20 rnd highcaps. Has anyone attempted this?

Just load twenty rounds. We do this quite often for mil-sim games. makes it more of a challenge,

But I'm going for the look of the 20rnd magazine... can't load 20rnds into a highcap and have it work ;-)
BTW, sorry for a possible hijack but it's TM magazine related!

Right but if you load 30 rounds you will probally get 20 useable rounds out of it. a little trial and error should get you where you want to be with the 190 hicaps dude.

Sounds like what Nimlas, Edward and Napalm are going for is the look of a 20 round mag with more authentic loads at an affordable price. Star has certainly made inroads in that department. Unfortunately the Thompson probably doesn't support enough available "units in operation" to justify the investment. They should however consider that Thompsons are way more disproportionately in the hands of reenactors and Mil sim freaks who would no doubt be more likely interested in authentic loads and more spare mags.
It'd sure be nice to see reasonably priced 10 packs like they offer for the M16 in both 30 round and 20 rounds mags. I have perhaps 60 star M-16 mags and I have been very pleased with them. (I loan them out to insure folks don't have the 'I don't have enough low caps to play in a low caps only game...."
The Thompson 20s would be awesome. Perfect for the 5 pocket pouches where currently the magazines stick out so much. While they're at it how about STAR low caps for the M-14!!!!!

I want to be able to use two of the 5 cell pouches for a Pathfinder loadout... I guess I'll just have to stick with the 30rnd Rigger pouches for now.
