Maybe I should'a been more clear when I said this, I accidently ripped the Nub off the hopup rubber when I took that black piece off, so I need to either know the purpose of the Hop up rubber so I can maybe rig one up, or figure out wether I need one or not.

Thats a bit of a problem, the little rubber nub is what is adjusted to put back spin on the projectile so it gets greater range, its kinda important.
I dont know if this will mess the gun up or not but you could try fireing it without the hop up and see how far it shoots, it may just be powerfull enough to through just FPS force its way down range at an acceptable distance until you can get a new hop up.

I was buying two hopups at a time to improve my chances for success. then I discovered a little talcum powder makes them slip right together. Something I was SURE silicone spray would do...but it seems to only make them swell up. I've seen pics online somewhere of a guy who used a bit of rubber strip and wound it into place with teflon plumber's tape.
