Does anybody who has a chinese m14 know if the marui mags work straight out? My AGM m14 won't feed with Marui mags unless I turn the gun upside-down and tap the magazine.

I have heard they are compatible. Does the AGM mag work? Try lubing the TM mags too.

hmm.... not sure. Make sure it is in all the way, and i know if there isnt enough ammo in it it wont feed so make sure you also have a full clip. If that doesnt work. Get a low-cap/ mid-cap. The only thing i can remeber is that you have to click the mag in and out a few times for it to fit correctly. -Cary

I had the same problem with my marui m14. I let the bolt slam back, and the mag release spring i think poped out of place or shifted, and it made my m14 not catch the mag, and lock it into place, I filed it down a very tiny bit, and it works fine. I suggest not doing it to muliple mags, as if your spring is shifted, and you plan on opening up your m14, then the spring may get fixed, then your mag might not lock in, or just plane fall out during battle. If marui mags work on it, get some King Arms 10 pack, they are 70 rnds, but are only 50 bucks for a 10 pack! Good luck...

It isn't from that, I just can not get the BB's to feed into the mag well, they go in but dont get pushed up into the chamber.

It's normal for a low cap mag to fail to feed the last 3 to 5 rounds. Not enough length on the magazine probe nipple to drive the Bbs into the tapet plate. That's why BBs always seem to spill out when your magazine is no longer feeding and you think it's empty. In that event you can typically turn the magazine upside down and fire those last few rounds. Nice to know in a tight situation if you run out of Bbs at the wrong moment.
I'm concerned that your magazine(s) doesn't seem to be feeding at all. As asked earlier are the magazines fully loaded? Are you using good BBs? Do you hear the magazine spring release pressure when the mag is inserted? Filing the magazine or magazine catch is really only needed to allow the magazine to lock into place. If held into place the gun should shoot fine. The filing is not even needed with a lot of the M-14s although all of the Chinese guns require a pretty pronounced clicking into place the first 5 to 10 times you do it typically until things smoothen out.
Never fear, We'll get this sorted out and get the magazines working.

It's possible the springs are bound and need lubrication. Use pure silcon oil and squirt it into the magazines. Load the mags fully a couple times and squirt some silicon oil into the mag to lube the springs. Hold the retaining pin out and let the magazine squirt BBs out and across the room a couple times to stretch out and further lube the mag springs. Hopefully you do that in a room with a deep flush carpet.
One warning if you do file the magzines be sure to blow all the metal filings off the mags or trigger assembly mag catch completely. Those filings would be a bad thing to have ending up inside the gun.
