Hello,
I just got my MP40 that I ordered from ebay, in its package, never been opened before. I took it out, read the instructions, put it together, charged the battery for around 5 hours, and shot it. It wouldn't fire. It makes the right shooting sound but no bbs come out. I've tried it again and again. Does anyone have any idea whats the problem and how to fix it?

Make sure the mag isn't the problem before doing anything else. Spray a little silicone oil down the feed hole and press the follwer down with something. Several of my mags refused to feed when I first got them. A quick lube and working the spring a bit cleared up the problem.
If that isn't it, invert the gun and drop one bb into the hop chamber. Pull trigger and watch for the BB. If it doesn't fire then, you DO have a bigger issue.

Thanks for the reply.
I dropped a bb into the chamber like you said, shot it, and it fired.
What is the follower, by the way? When you say spray the oil into the feed hole do you mean in the magzine or in the area of the gun that the spring hits the bb and the bb is ejected? Sorry Im a bit of a newbie.

Follower is the thingy in the magazine that bbs go down on top of.
Spraying silicone in the magazine means spraying it into the hole in the magazine.
Have fun!

When you pull the spring-loaded button (on the mag top) that holds the BB's in the magazine against the followers' spring pressure, you should get a spray of BB's coming out of the mag. Load and release the mag a couple of times to make sure it works properly.
When you insert the mag, you should hear the BB's advance in the mag when the feed tube releases the latch as the mag seats. Releasing the mag will dump 3 or 4 BB's out with it as they were in the feed tube.
And, please forgive me if this sounds stupid but make sure the mag is oriented properly. The feed tube is to the rear on the MP007. I goofed a couple of times and inserted the mag with the feed to the front and it will NOT feed that way.

Thats exactly what happens but it still won't fire.

It won't fire at all? Or do the BB's just sorta roll out the end of the barrel when you fire it? If it does that, then the tappet plate is probably the culprit. But, if you could drop a BB in the chamber and it fired normally, the mechanism appears to be working. How far did it shoot? You won't get the same range with it upside down, but it should still go 20-25 meters with no issues.
ALSO...be sure you are not using the magazine as a front pistol grip. It looks cool on TV, but can keep your AEG from feeding. There is very little movement within the mag well, but there is enough that mine will bind up and misfeed if there is any backwards presure. The real steel version was the same way to a certain extent. Your front grip should be around the mag well, or on the plastic body, directly behind the mag well.
