If you mean the outer barrel, yes mine does too- (I just found out, thanks..... ) But I don't have the issues your seeing- If it was the inner barrel I'd say you may be onto something, and you still might want to strip the gun down and have a look at where the inner barrel/hopup fit into the outer barrel and inspect that.

looks like it was only the outer barrel, as tighting it didn't do any good.

Hey does anyone else have this cause the search engine didn't bring it up. I want this 'export' version but only if it shoots skirmishable. Guinness, do you have the export version?

I don't have the export version yet
But mine is skirmish-able. I own the M2 Carbine and in this context I would use it as an M1- using only the Semi-Auto function.
It shoots hard and far
The 'export' versions promise greater reliability (no magazine o-ring issues when used with greengas or propane, and better full-auto reliability)

now i'm stumpt.
I got the new gas and bb's
I tried regular 134a gas with the .45g I know the garand goes better with the .45g but that did't do anything infact now they just roll out of the barrel. so i tried the maintnes gas, same thing. then i tried the green gas, and all it did was to switch over to full auto, and the bb's didn't even fire, they just stayed in the mag

Thats very odd gunfreak, and ironically, I bet a lemon shoots bb's farther then your m1. I'd send it back.

well heres the answer I got from RW after about 10 mail's back an forth
Hello,
Sorry for a late reply, I checked with our technicians. Unfortunately, to my surprise, it is actually not a defect that the gun operates in this condition; this gun is actually not a very strong one, and for it uses 8mm BBs, it makes the gun pretty weak; I also just learnt that it is exactly because it is a new version, so the power has been weakened, because Marushin weakened the power of these guns. Thank you.

Well that's a load of horse-hockey as they say I can't remember- have you chrono'd it yet? if it shoots at or around 250, then maybe I could believe it- but if it is below 200fps, then that is Redwolf making up applesauce e to avoid taking it back My offer to buy it from you still stands though, if its useless to you, I will take it off your hands. Also, I don't know if I had mentioned this before, but there really is nothing in the gun itself that would effect power etc,- meaning all the power in this design comes from the magazine. If the gun itself is to fault, then its going to be hopup related or something plugging the barrel, etc. There could possibly be a 'seal' issue in how the magazine fits against and seals with the blow-back mechanism of the bolt, but that action happens after the BB is expelled from the force of the gas released from the gas reservoir in the mag. I haven't seen any upgrade hi-flow valves or other parts for the Marushin mags yet. It may be a worthwhile experiment to see if any of your friends own the M2 carbine to try one of their mags in it- IMHO that would be the definitive test.

Well then my Norse friend, it may be worth investing in another magazine to either prove or disprove Redwolf's claims.

What you're describing in terms of range and velocity just visually is well below 200 FPS and clearly wrong. It's not unusual for 8mm guns to fire at a lower FPS and that in itself is not a problem as the inertia of a heavier BB more then makes up for a lower FPS but yikes the gun in it's current form is simply not functional. Redwolf is ducking you big time.

yeah. even at point blank range the bb's won't even stick in the Styrofoam, my old M1 and Garand can shoot through a soda can, this one wouldn't even make a sound when it hits

Well, my M2 on hfc134a, in semi-auto will go through a coke can-
I haven't chrono'd it yet becasue I don't own one- but it is the same magazine as what you are using.
