A friend of mine wants to take the internals from his AK SVD (the highly effective German support gun from Patton Unleashed) and make (or have someone else make) A MG34. He's considering using the new Cushman MG34 kit. Would it be worth the money/trouble to do this?

I've seen discussions of the MG42 kit, but not the MG34. I'm assuming it will have some of the same pros/cons, but I'm wondering about trying to mod a AK gearbox to fit in the MG34 shell.

Generally the cushman kit's aren't very good. Usually rather ugly.

I used to own an MG42 from them. This was a few years ago, probably 3 or 4 years ago at least. Since then, they have improved a lot (judging from the pictures). Nonetheless they still look a little, 'cartoonish', as I have seen a member on this board describe them as.
