hey guys me and my buddy wanted his m1a1 to have a darker more realistic "beat up" look to it. but the wood is the stock synthetic crap. so we mixed up a little reddish brown paint with some black paint (acrylic). but before we slapped it on we sanded down all the "wood" parts, but just a tiny bit. then took some random junk and put in some scratches and scuffs. We used just a regular 1/2 inch paintbrush and painted the "wood" parts till they had a somewhat seepy coat. then wiped it all down with a dry paper towel. and in the end it turned out great. i will try to get some pics of the results.
