Jeeze man that thing has to be operated by a really effective crew to make that thing work. Infact it looks about as dificult to operate as a reall Mg would be....I like that.

I would think a side mounted drum magazine with the BB`s inside would work fine and with a external gas tank it would be very much like the Shoei Mg42 only this thing is made with real steel parts and could take a beating in the field

My feeling that with that rate of fire it is completely unsuited to skirmish play. Who wants to get hit 30-40 times before they can yell "HIT"! I think as a novelty it might be okay. What really needs to be done is to buy it and toss the internals and adapt it for an AEG gun. That isn't a bad price just for the repaired MG42 without anything inside.

He's going to add an LRB to the gun and re-list it. The problem with adding an AEG mechbox is that nothing will easily fit in that short receiver. A v3 mechbox will almost work, like Schmitty's MG34, but the motor is slightly thicker than the MG42 grip. You'd have to remove so much material from the grip that it would lose much of its stability. I'm currently looking for an LRB-equipped BV system for my MG-42 after giving up on the AEG idea.

Gas guns are challenging to regulate for consistent safe operation and no hop up is a major issue even with a longer barrel which might in fact create barrel suck reducing your effectiveness. One interesting way to create a cheap form of hop up is to create tiny swirl gouges in the upper portion of the barrel which causes drag to the BB on the upper surfaces
I did that to a gas powered tennis ball shooter and it was amazingly effective.

the longer range barrel isnt really much longer, it just adds a sort of hop up to the gun and makes it more effective..
