Just got to thinking about making a Bren today. I have a De-mil that has a aluminum reciever. It is 100% legal to own in any state. The reciever is hollow so it be easy to mock-up one. I have pleny of Bren mags also. Not sure what type of gear box to use though or what type mags would fit in the old Bren ones. I guess they have to be hi-caps. Will be my first make on a gun. Any help in this field be great. Suggestions welcome.

Shoot n' scoot makes one and Shmitty one the forum has as well. I have no clue of easy or difficult it is, but custom guns almost always are a big undertaking.

Though with the new gear boxes it might be easier especially if you have an aluminum receiver.

Yea thats what I figured. I just got back from Iraq and have about 2 1/2 months of leave to kill and think it be a good one to undertake.
