Alrighty then, I've been looking high and low on the internet for Inert 30-06 rounds to fill up my ammo belt and some Garand clips I have. Now I can get the REAL rounds it seems cheaper than the inert ones from what I've found...I can get 64 rounds, plus 8 garand Clips for $20 locally....which seems Guy on a short bused that I can get 12 rounds and 3 clips of Inert ammo for the same price. Now if I had a place to "reload" ammo, I wouldn't worry about it, and I would simply take the powder charge, and set of the primer, and replace the round...but I don't have the abilities to do that....so my question is, do you guys have any ideas, or anyplace I can get either loose 30-06 rounds for my cloth ammo belt *thanks Capt. Zak* or the Garand clips for a bit cheaper?
Thanks!!

Ebay always seems to have a bunch of Clipped Garand rounds that are inert. If there aren't any now there will be in a week. Naturally they're going to be more the actual clipped rounds as effort has to be extended to get them that way. I have bought a couple of them as they make a nice accessory stuck on the web gear.

This is not pointed at you, and is not intended to be. This is to address a issue which will surely pop up at some point.
If any of you are looking at this post an' sayin' "Hell, I could just get my Dad's tools and make my own inert rounds"...DON'T DO IT!
Safety is number one, an' tampering with live rounds, no matter how safe you think it is, is a bad idea. Leave it to people who know how to do it, and posess the proper means to go about it.
Anyway, that was my rant.

Gun shows usually have inert 30.06 and garand clips for cheap.

So your telling me using a pair of pilers, and a hammer and nail to set of the primer is a bad idea...ahhh got ya! *Sarcasim ALERT* Anyway, perhaps I will check a gunshow, they pop up here every few weekends.
