The First Infantry Division Museum in Cantigny, Illinois is hosting an Armed Forces day event on the Mccormick grounds. There is going to be military vehicles, they are allowing reenactors to dress like soldiers and go there, meet the other reenactors, advertise your squad, and there will be a Black hawk helicopter landing on the grounds! For mroe information visit here: www.rrmtf.org/firstdivision/06ArmedForcesDay.htmBTW, I was gonna add in Event Information section, but I couldnt post a topic there, so mods feel free to move this topic.

I think this would be really great thing if we could get at least like six guys to show up. For anyone needing the skewed version, it's on may 20th. We could get some real PR from this. Personally, I'm like under 5 minutes away so I'm going regardless but it would be cool if the WW2AA could get something together that day.

I have been with the first ID since 2001. Phantom i think i invited to to come to last years event but you couldnt.
I had heard of the black hawk but this is the first i have heard of all differnet units being invited. I talked to my CO. and he said i couldnt come as 101st and it was a strictly 1st ID event... I'm sending an email out to confirm everone is invited.

I'm not angry, all I'm syaing is that his website will give people the wrong idea. I'll tell him to change the wording a bit.
You have to look at it from my point of view, too, what could he have meant by dress up as a soldier? I guess you could always wear a m43 jacket or somthing, but I'll ask him his reasoning behind that statement
