Soem pictures from yesterdays ww2 themed scenario day. We invited everyone to play uniform or not and had a good time. The first mission was a DDay mission with a beach assualt by the Allies. We put together some cheap "higgins boats" to get the job done and also had an excellent mortar to pound the beach area with tennis balls. We made it a bit to hard as the Axis was nearly even to the Allies and it made it too difficult for the Allies to take the beach. We had good props and some good uniforms. The Allies stormed out of the boats when the doors dropped with bangalore torp. assembeled them to blow through a barbwire simulation line and then were to take a fortified axis posistion further back. The beach area was 300 feet long and the wire emplacement was actual staked out baling wire that the allies made 3 holes through. It was great fun but we will make it more fair and cahnge some things around next time to give a fair chance to the Allies. Everyone seemed to have fun and we ran two other missions after this. Point Du Hoc was an assualt on a hill that had an Arty gun that the Allies took and completed by blowing the gun with a satchel charge and then a Remegan scenario that the Axis won by reppeling any attmept by the allies to rush the bridges and take the town. Here are some pictures to begin with I will post a full AAR with more pics and video in the next week or so. I hope you enjoy these intial pics just be forewarned it was an open game with WW2 themed missions. Just recruiting you could say brussack.smugmug.com/gallery/2511280#131865744

Why are you wearing and STG 44 pouch with a Kar98? Also you have it on backwards, the little pouch on the side goes on the outside away from the belt buckle.

Kar98k striper clips will not hold the Tanaka mags. So I mean thers nothing i can do to tell you the truth... Best thing i could get would be grew 43 pouchs. But that would still be off. Like all Y-straps things slowly move to the center. Things on your back slowly move to what ever side there on (EX. Bread bag)

True, I knew Tanaka mags don't fit in the Kar98 pouch. If I were you I'd use kar98 pouches becasue you have a Kar 98, put the mags in the breadbag. *Tip on the bread bag, if you put one strap on the other side of the Y-strap back part, it won't slide to the front. Do you get what I'm saying, I could take a picture if you'd like. *Also with the jackboots, I think you sould stuff the trousers in, they are bunching up and rolling over the top of the boot.

I didn't mean to sound like a jackass, the picture looked funny.

We have a member that has HBT's he loves them. I may buy some tropical pants for my FJ look aswell. I wore wool german pants all day though and had no major issues.

Yeah, It would seem like you guys would want HBT's because it gets hot down south. I have a tropical tunic and I love it, I was thinking about gettting tropical trousers as well but Washington isn't really a tropical area.
