I'm buying a new pistol that says it shoots 6 mm. 0.12 wieght bb's.
And, I'm looking on ebay and stuff for biodegradable bb's and almost all of them are 0.20 6mm. pellets. Can that pistol I'm shooting shoot the 0.20 bb's since they're still 6 mm. or is that a problem? Or is 0.12 the suggested wieght for the gun, and I can use the 0.20?
Also, If anybody knows a site or any other ideas or places that sells biodegradable bb's could you provide a link?

.12 since they are lighter will fly farther, but will not be as accurate, and .20 are heavier so they will be more accurate, but not fly as far, but both will work.

.........as long as they are 6 mm.
But thank you both. Oh, and at that site, I can't find it, I can find the bb's but not the biodegradeable ones.

If you use .2's in a crappy springer after awhile the springer will break, that's only if it says use .12's only and youd have to serriously use it for that to happen. .2's are so much more accurate its not even funny. It depends on which gun you are buying.

Well, I'm buying a semi automatic Taurus, they're found at walmarts. It is triple A battery powered. It's says use .12 but do you not think .2's wouldn't ruin it since it's a prtty good gun, my friend has it and it's worked good for him, but he uses .12

You won't find biodegradable in .12 gram. (Simply not available) In reality virtually all so called bidegradable BBs for all intents and purposes aren't. There was extensive testing on various web sites. (Arnies, SoCal airsoft etc.)as well as lab tests on the compounds used. Even in so called biodegradable the primary content is plastic so......They're going to be around a loooooooong time. My back yeard is full of biodegradable BBs that have been there 3-4 years and are still there!
They're using a legitimate Bio BB at Lion Claws this year in all the SAW guns. It'll be interesting to see how that goes. Apparently they are a quality BB, very round and even weighted but the splinter more readily when they hit something solid so they arn't allowing mesh goggles or masks without shooting glasses underneath.
Your gun will perform best with the weight of .12 gram BBs .The power in the electric pistols (other then the later AEG variants from Marui) just isn't there. The challenge with accuracy is the lighter BB is more effected by passing through the air and cross winds as well as the fact that the BBs themselves aren't very uniformly shaped. A couple things you might do to mitigate your situations. Look at the BBs very closely in their containers and try to pick a container of BBs where you don't see a lot of mishappened BBs or Bbs with seams showing. (Typically the Bbs that come with the gun are the worst) Then select a color of BB that will be the least noticeable on the ground. (Green or Black Bbs are hardly noticeable for example) That also means they're harder to see in flight which is bad for adjusting your aim but good in that the opponent doesn't see em coming either. I often times actually mix green or black BBs with around a fourth of the BBs in white. It's awkward and time consuming when loading a bunch of low caps but works like tracers.

i had a desert eagle that ran off of AAA batteries, you have to use .12, the gun is so cool if you treat it well and have a lot of spare batteries. I played with that gun hide and seek.... it was pretty fun. The gun shot slow but the bb's flew straight forever. In other words, use .12, and 2nd bat is right, you wont find bio degradable bb's in .12.
