actually it was on may 9th 1945 at 12:16am when germany surrendered. the festivites started on may 8th.

is that the time they surrendered to the US? or the time the resigned the papers with hte Russians present? they actually surrendered twice.......

well, them too, ;D but the Germans surrendered and signed the papers, then had to do it again the next day cuz the russians wer not present at the first signing....
