Ok so I just got done with a 4 hour long airsoft game, it was awesome.
Ok so there were only three people playing, (myself, and two of my friends) But it was sooo cool.
One of my friends has been working on an SS Panzer division uniform impression and it looks great, he has everything (minus the Kar98 though) but the even cooler thing was that he was hell bent on getting a real Kar98 because he strictly does reenacting, but after playing tonight (first time ever) he is contemplating on getting that wonderful gun from Tanaka and doing aisoft as well.
Now my other friend the one with the broken UTG sniper, used his Marui MP5, but after seeing my German friend all decked out in his uniform and me in my USMC uniform and web gear wants to ditch the modern stuff and get himself an American or German WW2 Sniper setup, and he might be joining here as well!
Now on to the game.
At 6:00pm we set out into the woods behind my house. I was paired up with my German friend while my other friend ran out into the woods to get a head start. about 10 minents later we go in too. WE followed the creek about 1/4 of a mile into the woods, and about 45 minents into the game, my friend an I come to a pair of large Oaks adjacent to the creek on a steep slope up from the creek. Stopping to rest I scan the area infront of me and behind me, now on the other side of the creek behind me about 60 yards is very dense undergrowth. I signal to my partner to move forward about 1 hour and a half into the game and just as I started to step forward I hear the weeer of an AEG moter fireing up, instantaneously I start to turn to the large area of undergrowth behind me, an before I cold even turn around a barrage of BBs smacked into my body. OHH FU*-%, SHI*** I yelled and down I went plastered with BBs I collapsed to the base of the tree, only a few moments later my German friend fell victim to the MP5s barrage.
After wards we went back to the house an loaded up, I was on my own this time My German friend was teamed up with my other friend and as they were talking I sneaked away to a hidden position. About 20 minents later I see them coming my way, now there area I am in has woods behind me a house infront of me about 50 yards away and all open area where they were coming from, having no where else to go I bolt for an area with a steep hill on the side of my house, as I am running I'm thinking yes I'm going to make it I'm going to make it and then.....I lost my balance. As I was falling I remembered reading about how a simple fall with break off the barrel of the Thompson, so with both hands I shoved my gun up over my head and down I went, face first and rolled the entire way down the hill and straight into a large pile of tree branches and twigs that I put aside for a bon fire at a later date.
I did not move for about 10 minents, and laid there in the sticks. Dazed I stood up and could not believe I was not hurt, I unhooked my chinstrap and looking at my helmet, a giant wedge of dirt was lodged on its front ledge and the liner was completely unhooked inside and my goggles were also trashed and my ammo bags dirty. Every piece of my gear took the full force of the fall I and I was unharmed. Then in a panic I looked for my Thompson and there it was undamaged laying in a pile of leaves.
So I got up and hobbled my way back inside and we played until 10:30pm.
