that is so cool! They had that whole thing coriographed perfectly. It looked like the real deal, that is one hell of a pyro-techniques team!

Anyone know the name of the song? Is it just "Lube Kombat"?
Edit: Nevermind. The song is "Kombat" by the band "Lube".

I wish I knew all of what they were saying, guess I'll have to look up the lyrics, definitely a neat find. The ost-front was so brutal, I think the only way to picture it is someone going to war with China right now, just numbers falling upon numbers, awe inspiring.

The series is called "Strafbat" and is a 14-episode series about the Soviet Strafbat battalions that were made up of prisoners (deserters, POWs, politcal prisoners, etc.) who were hoping to be "rehabilitated" of their crimes. I ordered my copy from a Chinese seller on eBay. It has all 14 episodes on 7 DVDs and has English subtitles. So if you plan on ordering a copy make sure you check for the language of the audio and subtitles. I'll make a post about it in the Movies section after I finish watching it.

He claims it translates obscene material, interesting because the translations are printed below the movie.
I ordered the DVDs too! -Gordak

Yay for bootlegs!
I might order them although Chinese bootlegs always translate something wrong that leads to massive confusion (at least on my part).

here are the translated lyrics to Lube's Kombat in case anyone wants to sing along.
Schmitty
At war is like at war, Bullets, vodka, "makhorka"* in price, At war is tough labor, Shoot, yourself, or they will shoot. At war is like at war, Girlfriend, remember me. At war the hour is uneven, Perhaps we them, perhaps they us.
Chorus: Commander-"batyanya,"* "batyanya"- commander, You didn't hide your heart behind boys' backs. Planes fly, and tanks burn, He strikes, yo, commander, yo, commander.
Commander-"batyanya," "batyanya"- commander, Behind us are Russia, Moscow, and Arbat, Fire, battery, fire, battalion, Commander, yo, he commands.
At war is like at war - Soldiers see mothers in their sleep, At war, and so it is, And everything is more serious, than in the movies. Yes, war, war, war - A grouchy aunt, a bitch she is. Eh, war goes on and on, And the girl awaits the boy.
(chorus twice)
At war is like at war,

I noticed the name of the band was actually spelled Lyube. (This seems be a phonetic transcription of Russian alphabet using latin letters) The name of the band actually comes from the Moscow suburb from which the band is from, Lyubertsy. The phonetic transcription of the song is "Kombat", but the Russian translation of "Kombat" is "Commander". Just thought this might be helpful if anyone was trying google them and not having much luck.
