It was a great event wasn't it? It was a little rough around the edges in a few spots but it went well and we had 17 players!
Maybe next time the allies can follow their objectives. ;D Thanks for making this first event of '06 a success!

LOL! that was pretty funny. I felt sorry for the sarge, but that made me luagh.
That event was fantastic, the most fun I've had in a long time. And the allies somewhat did complete the objectives, the pak 40's got destroyed and the remaining Axis where surrounded. What went wrong there, I didn't quite pick up on what was going on. Thank you Tommy and Zak for organizing and hosting the event. I can't wait for the next one!

For my first event that I have fought in I thought it went fairly well, and like Cap .Zak said it was a bit rough around the edges, and the scenerios were really good. Anyway, I liked the mine fields, and Machingun nest, (which I never saw until it was being dismantled) and I liked the smoke down the barrels of the two Pak 40s idea (successfully done by the way). All in all I had a blast (even though I got killed once and shot in the left arm 4 times) And like I said at the event since the field is a private one, so there can be events there as often as we want. Ethan said he shot a tone of pictures, but he didnt shoot any video, the reason being that he thought the environment we were playing in would not have yeilded a good video at all, But I did see Spitfire running around with a camera, maby he could post his video.

Thank you Tommy and Zak for organizing and hosting the event. I can't wait for the next one! The allies were to do the following (IN THIS ORDER) 1. Scout out the German mine field & machine gun nest with out engaging the enemy. 2. When the scouts returned to allied HQ the allies were to move out and clear the mine field. 3. AFTER the mine field was cleared, they were to attack the machine gun nest and HOLD the machine gun nest and supress any counter attack. 4. AFTER the machine gun nest was captured they were to go to the Germans rear position and destroy the artillery. You guys went right to the artillery. That was easy since there were no Germans there. The scenario was set up so that it took a while to complete. As you captured positions the germans would continue to retreat and take on a new defensive position. Then you would have to take that position. It was a great scenario but it was cut short when you guys disregarded the mine field, the MG nest, and though you did gather one article of German intelligence...you never made it back to you HQ. SO I guess the krauts won. ;D

The "Downed Allied Airman" scenario went a little better. One allied airman was rescued and the other was killed by a German tripwire mine. So that scenario was a draw.

The fist mission and mission objectives that were simple, and should have been easily executed, but there were too many chiefs and not enough Indians (can I say that?). This isn't a problem that is unique to WW2 airsoft, but I think it is something that we are going to have trouble with if this hobby continues to grow. Until there are large established units with their own chain of command, we should prior to any action at an event establish a chain of command for each side. This might deal with some of these issues. As for the event last weekend the allies flat out lost the first scenario. Jeff, I think we should recycle that one for the next event, try to get it right this time.

I think the German side was a little more organized because we did "draw up" a chain of command. But we learned something from the event and that is a good thing. The imnportant thing is that we had a great event, gained some momentum and I am already planning the September event! So we'll see you there.

Capt Zak
Guess I did plant the mines good, I still don't remember where I put #4 though. Well anyway being a blank firing enactor this is an excellent need for Tactical Battles. This was my first as with Seans of which we enjoyed. I also like to thank you guys for letting us use your weapons they were great.
