welcome to the forum! Lol sibling rivalry aww the joy. I have 1 brother and 1 stepbrother i know what its like.... of course im the youngest... That would make a movie on its on in a airsoftfight. Hehe welcome to the sport hey dont we have someone else with tommyboy or something like it? No worries i can tell with your 101st airborne picture. Anyways, the thompson? Are you using a sling? If so you might want to get the bridge if not then i wouldnt do it. Or you could just do the m1928 conversion... i hear it makes it stronger... thats what im going to do once my thompson breaks.

The M1928 is a helluva lot stonger. It's also a helluva lot more expensive. I'd recomend getting somekind of reinforcement, not neccisaryily the "Thompson Bridge" as it ia a very easy thing to fabricate.

It's not ironic. Welcome aboard. I wouldn't worry about buying or making any kind of barrel reinforcement until your Thomson barrel breaks it could be years before that happens. Buy some spare mags with that money.

I'm with Dan on that one. I've owned several Thompsons and have lent them out, used them extensively and watched them soldier through years of use. One of four broke at the bridge after a few years. I believe that with care and minimal use of your sling (or no sling at all) you should be fine. Good luck, it's an awesome model. Truly one of my favorites.
