Nice do you think it will have the same durability issues that the Tanaka one has?

Well, many chineese airsoft producers (Whom cloning is mostly the outcome of the design.) Tend to improve on known issues with the firstly made airsoft version of same gun. But I wouldn`t hold my breath, and in any case, most of those problems are easily solved. My biggest worry would be the price, from what I know, WE isnt exactly the cheapest of the cheapest, but atleast we get full metal. In any case my favourites amongst German ww2 sidearms, are the Mauser M712 and the Walther P-38`s. The Luger P08 non-firing but with fully functioning mechanism and all parts of metal exept the grip plates, that I have, is very hard to handle both for pulling the slide back and forth as well as aiming (Theres a VERY SMALL notch on top of the rear arm which btw goes pointing 60 degrees up when the gun is fired. Very hard to aim accurate with.) Though all my experiences and statements on the luger and its capabilites might just be my own taste and likings. So I am ofcourse not going to critizize the luger, its a nice gun, and for looks, its the coolest sidearm ever! To those that have always wanted a Metall Luger, I say congratulations, your dreams have come true Good luck in the purchase Sincerely Yours Red Von Hammer

110 dollars in hong kong that's not end up being much cheaper than the Tanaka once it gets state side.

The guns are re-branded SRC's from what I have been told.
Since Simon....er uh I mean MadBull...er uh I mean WE of course cloned the TM 1911 for their version but made slight changes to avoid copyright infringement, I would look for a subtly different and unique magazine on these. It will certainly not be a Western Arms system like the Tanaka's use.
I am looking forward to these, they should be pretty interesting.

So I was browsing around and cobra airsoft has the 4, 6, & 8 inch P08 models listed on their website as ne products for the month of January. Can anyone confirm if these are actually out or if they are simply there as pre-order or something like that.

Airsoft has the 6", which appears by the ack sight, to be a Navy. I ordered one today, $108. I'll try to post some kind of review if the storm coming in tomorrow doesn't turn into a blizzard.

I've got one coming from Boomarms, I'll do a review as soon as it gets in.
One thing that I did notice from pictures so far that is a bit distressing, the toggle handle circular 'ears' don't appear to have the correct cross-hatch cuts in them and appear flat-
Also pictures show the customary WE bb feed hole in the lower center of the mag- It will be interesting to see if the gun ends up being a re-tooled Tanaka or if it in fact is a 'new' product. We see so far at least that WE has made a unique mag for it.
Pictures as soon as she arrives!

looking forward to the pics from u Guinness - I love my Tanaka P08, but brit weather is a major factor of availability to use in a skirmish.
However - in a Welsh(was only dry on arrival the night before game start - CiA(ww2airsoft.org.uk)) weekender I used it in a hostile attack on the Axis basecamp defence - scared the crap out of the US Airborne guy running past on the edges of camp

;D If you haven't ordered yours yet.......what the hell are ya waiting for? This gun is amazing, and I haven't even shot it yet! It's worth the money on feel alone! As Jim said, it appears to be a full Tanaka clone, albeit with a uniquely WE mag as I had predicted. There are trades, although not entirely correct- more on that in the review. The 'GESCHERT' safety is well done which is all I really was looking for. So far, VERY impressive you guys ;D ....Full review coming- Slainte!

Bahh Guinness, I want that so bad, and I cant get away, its on arnies and here But I just bought a Tanaka SAA, you know... in homage to Patton so I guess I cant complain... I have thought about putting together an SS uniform someday. I might start with one of these.
