Could probably use it for a U.S. pacific impression too. But most guys would pass up on an officer's pistol and go straight for the samuri sword. I believe they also make a "papa" Nambu, the one that has a larger trigger gaurd.

Is this the Japanese pistol that would go off on accident all the time. Something about stamped steel parts and shoddy design? I saw something on this on THC quite awhile ago. I am sure the airsoft version doesn't do it just curious if it is the same weapon.

The type 14 is a real nice pistol pretty good quality it was the type 94 that was the crappy one it had an exposed sear that could set it off if touched and last ditch ones weren't always tempered properly and could explode.

I have heard that the Nambu type 14 has some problem with the springs wearing out. I hope the airsoft version doesn't have this problem I do plan on getting this, but I'm a little disappointed about how its 8mm, and a little worried about its durability, since I have heard some iffy things about the internals of their Kar98k.

I've never liked them much. I got to handle a real one about 9 months ago and it felt very small and seemed fragile for a military issue weapon. But to each his own..

On WGCshop.com, this gun and its variants are listed as "discontinued", but both Cobraairsoft.com and redwolfairsoft.com have them in stock.
