You are looking at an SS officers tunic for the rank of Hauptsturmführer (roughly a captain)
Although he has totenkopf runes on the collar his appointment was to the Allgemeine and then another SS regiment (KZ guards wore the deaths head rune too).
The strap you refer to is a 'sam browne' belt worn by officers of professional armies at the time.
The SS wore those in black and the British in a red brown.
He'd have worn cavalry jodphurs/breechs and private purchase riding boots.
Hope that helps.

The tunic looks early war with a darker collar, maybe a heer m36. The 'pants' you refer to are officers riding breeches or 'jodphurs' in europe 'pants' means underwear.

It would be incredibly poor taste and bad form to wear.

We have a bar on allgemeine and political poice units in uk games. Do a google/wiki search for Amon Goth/Goeth Probably not a good look to go for

Got to admit I agree with comments made before. SS can be seen as distinctly dodgy at the best of times, a KZ guard is simply beyond the pale. Considering that this is Airsoft, dont you want to portray a combat unit?

SS isnt the issue, its the difference between Waffen SS and political SS units, the latter is pretty poor to want to display regardless of cool factor.
Waffen SS is generally a brave and well trained elite fighting force, the KZ guards were pretty much murdering and raping thugs...

If you're after an officers uniform for a combat unit, then here's a few pointers:
1: Dont bother with gaberdine for combat use. 2: You dont have to bother with an "Officers tunic" either. Waffen-SS Officers were issued one EM's tunic a year for field use. Some had them modified (taller collar, french cuffs, patch pockets etc etc) some didnt 3: Breeches or Keilhosen can both be worn. Remember that apart from their one-a-year issued uniform, the vast majority of clothing was private-purchase. Not all W-SS Officers had the means to afford privately tailored uniforms.
On the insignia front, remember that the eagle, collar tabs & cuff title are all embroidered in wire, though - as with most Jerry kit - you're guaranteed to see pics where this wasnt always done!

Poor taste of course, however I was shown pictures from the "GAP" that were "behind closed doors". At least 1/2 dozen reenactors in Allegemeine SS and NSDAP uniforms. I would keep it to waffen.
