plastic stock = bigger battery, thats why they would offer it. -Gordak According to the Cop9 website they both use the same battery, AK type 'fixed'

And also, just as a comment, there are various AK type batteries. I had an ak that used a stick (folding stock) and one used a mini (standard, wood stock) and i have seen some use larges (plastic stock, but was modified a little i think)

I need to get him drunk at a girlie bar (that's the way it works here) for more information. Ahh- Drunk at a girlie bar in the Far East. Now that brings back some good memories. ;D Makes me stop thinking about AGM MG-42s.

ooh, shipped to the U.S. already? Odd that no us retailers have any posts of "STG44 COMING SOON" emblazoned across their fronts, even though usually new releases are big news. I found one (http://www.actionhobbys.co.uk/AGM-MP44-PRE-ORDER_ANA4S.aspx) but UK not US

I found one (http://www.actionhobbys.co.uk/AGM-MP44-PRE-ORDER_ANA4S.aspx) but UK not US Christ.... that's an expensive price quote from the UK!!! I'd wait for the HK listed price to order from China.

that is very expensive, i think the problem is the VAT, hopefully the U.S. retailers will come down in price a little bit, and/or shipping from HK wont be too expensive. I really want to get this bad boy soon.

Kalbs, and anyone else too A few questions if you don't mind: 1) Will this Mp44 be limited in production, like the VFC Barrett that only sold 100 units to the U.S., or will it be like the Mp40 and continue on with better tweaks and upgrades as the first few are tested by the public? 2) Do you know when, or if, U.S. retailers or major international retailers like redwolfairsoft will receive the Mp44? 3) What are the chances that AGM will create more WWII guns, besides the supposable MG42; will it depend on how well this gun sells?

Redwolf don't seem to like stocking the china made guns, they don't have and CYMA, JG, DBOYS, its a shame since they are my favourite retailer

I would be guessing but based on the positive requests they are likely to do an additional run. From what I'm hearing is there seems to be quite a demand so if you want one now I wouldn't hesitate. It is likely to that the product will get better over time with accessories added such as slings, extra magazines and etc. 2. No idea about the major e-retailers. Keep your eyes on WGC and UNCompany. If they start selling it's a good sign that the product is selling well. Checksix (redwolf's partner)is looking into creating a WW2 section for us. 3. Maybe as the MG42 is on the boards now, but they will be slow in coming. Yes, I guess it depends if the MP44 does well and the MP40 keeps selling. The ACM M1A1 sales have slipped ( but so have all sales these days) and partly due to the fact that they are hard to find anymore. When I asked the manufactures at the toy show about WW2 AEG's they basically shook their head so I would assume there is some reluctance. The VFC BAR would be an easy one for the Chinese to copy and they have not done so as the BAR is not selling well for VFC. If you want a BAR don't wait to long because it may disappear. I suggested the PPsH as a model and again some head shaking.

The VFC BAR lack of sales volume is due to the price point NOT the lack of demand. I was lead to believe they sold their entire run. I have to believe this MP44 will do well and hopefully provide the shot in the arm WW2 weapon selection needs. Hopefully with the Mp40 and Mp 44 they won't simply assume that demand falls with German weaponry although a G 43 would be nice.
I think with a Kar 98 (Tanaka gas) an Mp40 AEG and now the MP44 the Krauts are pretty well handled. A Garand Aeg at an affordable price and an AEG carbine and WW2 airsoft will be well over the hump. With even this limited selection the dam will have burst and the hobby will explode. It's somewhat a case of if you build it they will come. I realize that is risky but no more so than getting lost in the crowds of AKs and M4 iterations and accessories.

Not to be too much in my negative-area, but that's gotta take years. It would be amazing if it did happen. It will be amazing when it happens!
Expand it with something like a Springfield (Yes, I know you can convert VSR's and the like to Springfields.. btw John, you're Springfields look excellent!), Gewehr 43 (man I hope they will make a limited run and reserve them for us, not to be mean) and various of MG's, reasonably priced (Killbucket's MG's look very good too, and for the price, they are amazing. I've just heard about some problems with shipping and contact, but he's catching up again).
And a Panzerschreck just for the hell of it!

I think that if gun makers timed the release of an affordable BAR, Carbine, or Garand with a WWII movie, they would get some more business
Its a risky proposition seeing how modern weapons hold a near monopoly on the market. The same was true when there was the debate between AEGs and classics. Everybody said that the new guns were too unreliable, untested, etc. Look which one won!
I just hope we see the same success in the WWII market.

Great news Soldaten! www.Checksixairsoft.com is allowing me to receive the MP44 to write a review for e-publication. Delivery will be late this week or early the next. I will do a complete tear down review for them and of course give you all a priority sneek peek. And yes, Checksix ships to the US

Great news, although i just went on their website, and i can't find the bloody thing. Am i missing something, or is it just not up there? Be patient, they are preparing a whole new WW2 section. The MP44 is not shown yet and until they get a review. They want No lemons.

I can't wait for one company to make some totally obscure WWII weapon that no one, including the WWII airsofters, have ever heard of. the M50 Reising or M1941 Johnson machine gun would do nicely

There is virtually an unlimited variety of potential weapons but for Gods sake let's encourage them to make the obvious mainstays at least at first.

Who would buy them? Be thankful in last two years we have seen AEG's of the MP40, BAR, M1 Garand and now the MP44. I would rather see some more common guns like the Sten, Bren, PPsH, M1928A1, and AEG versions of the M1 (Garand & Carbine), and M3. Cheaper and reliable AEG MG34/42's would be nice. In order for your dream to come true, those involved in WW2 airsoft need help to spread the word and garnish more interest in this niche of airsoft so it is marketable for the manufacturers. Right now the M4 and AK's rule the roost and the percentage of WW2 players is very low.

As a matter of fact we have had a few threads about them before. The airsoft market for this would be very limited , only Marine Raiders and Navajo Code Talkers used the Reising in any numbers , and the 41 Johnson MG was used by the FSSF .

Kalbs, An odd thing to focus on perhaps, but does the Mp44 come with a historically accurate leather sling? Please get back to us soon on your review of the Mp44, leave no imperfection unnoted. And please let us know when Check six will release their batch.
As always, thank you Kalbs! Polski

1 more thing to look for is marking that look to be german as the germans marked every weapon they made with a factory code and serial number
