seems like the shipping is a little expensive, the posted weights are 5 and 7 (presumably KG), which is about 12 or 16 lbs (on the heavy side) and he is charging about $80 or $110 for sending them to Seattle (i use this as this is where i am based), although he might be charging extra for "taxes" to get the guns out of mainland china. I too am praying that this will actually arrive, and arrive in good time. Also, if you get the chance, could you ask if he is set up for a group order? I think that some people here, who live in a close location might want to try that to have shipping be cheaper.
Edit, just ran the numbers, even ordering 5, the shipping cost, when split, only decreases about $2 per person.

I have no idea about why the shipping is higher, remember it's coming from the distributor and not the shop. However, they won't come straight from China, it will be trucked into HK then shipped from here. Maybe that's why shipping is higher? Goods from China have a 15% export tax while HK is a free port. I can ask or maybe I can try factory direct with YYTI. How may pieces total?

Uhh, should have been about 5, but then all interest was lost on my end, so now it is down to like one (which would be me), which isn't really a group order. Sorry about that, people hoping to get into WWII thought it was great until they realized there are no high caps, so they wouldn't be able to spray as effectively during non period events, and in turn, didn't want it.

Here's the latest information I received from the guys at Checksix who called the Distributor directly for me: Currently his distributor has only one sample MP44 in stock (not for sale). Checksix was told orders are behind schedule by a month and that the requests for procurment from other retailers has been high. Good news and bad news I suppose. Good news that there is a demand and yes there really is a sample, bad news that it appears delayed (at least from what the distributor has stated). Checksix believes Copygun use the same distributor as they do. I would be very surprised if the MP44 came out Monday... but then again I was surprised by the early release of the BAR from VFC last year.
MG42??? They have not seen or heard anything about it from China.

depending on where free shipping extends to, that actually might be slightly cheaper than the HK one... Also, kalbs says that the distributor is behind a month, so i doubt gunfire would managed to get a hold of them any faster.

Gunfire.pl is a Polish domain - meaning that the import to Europe cost a lot of money. It'll be cheaper directly from HK.

The very first AGM MP40's on the market were selling for well over $200 on some sites. It was ridiculous but the guys that were impatient just had to waste their money. To add insult to injury, many of those early guns were faulty and the new owners got hosed. They paid twice what it was worth, they couldn't get an extra mag and their gun broke. BUT, they had one a couple of months before everyone else.

Probably in the local shops of HK. Don't expect to find the best offers on the internet. Still, they're only $83 + shipping from Gunners nowadays.

I am willing to guess the B.A.R. as the Chinese companies are not the most creative. VFC already has one out there and DBoys has cloned a lot of VFC. Although it may take a while with the economy and all.

A little bird told me today...
MP44's have been shipped to the EU and US retailers already. Delivery to Hong Kong is next week, they are crated and on the way.
MG42 will be is/maybe produced and issued in the next few months to the EU and US markets only, skipping the Asian market all together... bummer for me... I have a sneaky feeling some of these AEG's are being funded by EU retailers/distributors. The Birdie was very evasive and would not give me more. I need to get him drunk at a girlie bar (that's the way it works here) for more information.

Odd that no us retailers have any posts of "STG44 COMING SOON" emblazoned across their fronts, even though usually new releases are big news.
