To all those great thinkers out there! has anyone thought of using the m249 Mk2 as a base to build a mg 42 or 34? i just got one and looking at it, i thought it would be a great start. I'm no engineer, but if you look close it may be possible . give it a thought and let me know! thanks!

Anythings possible but I don't think it would be a very accurate replica. The 249 AEG gearbox isn't even close to fitting within the dimensions of the MG34 or MG42 reciever.

But if you don't mind that it isn't scale...... go for it!
