I need some help guys.
I just purchased a SS Pea dot camo HBT panzer wrap from a buddy of mine, and it is beautiful(ill post pics in latest aquisition thread). I had a quick question though. Did infantry wear panzer wraps? I know it was meant for armored crews and what not, but i have heard from some people that some infantry men wore them, but does anyone have any pictures or anything? And please don't give me a link to the google homepage, i have looked and looked, and i have only found armored crew images.
Thanks so much!

There is an account of the crews of the SS Panzer Abt. 11 'Herman Von Salza' or the "Nordland" Panzer division, slowing a heavy Soviet thrust in the southern part of Narva in '44, not only did they destroy a large number of T-34's but after the division lost all of their Panthers the crews fought on as infantry men. Photos of this are probably non-existent.
As far as infantry being issued panzer or artillery wraps, it is highly unlikely, though if you are planning on doing a late '44 SS Nordland panzer division in Estonia impression it will work! ;D

Late war you see some PanzerGrenadiers with wraps on. When your tank is knocked out and there are no more tanks, the German Military isn't going to just let you go.

I've seen some Brandenburgers with panzer wraps on too.

Very VERY late in the war you see Panzergrenadiers being issued the Sturmartillerie wraps. This is like Jan '45 "late." So unless you want to stand out for some strange reason, don't get a black Panzer wrap, or a Sturmartillerie wrap! It's best to stick with a good ol' M42 or M43 feldbluse for late-war infantry. (I know, you see reissues of M36's and such, but please, go for the simpler "late war economy" bluse).

Panzergrenadiers of the 130 Panzer-Lehr division were issues field gray panzer wraps in very large numbers. I believe they were also quite common in the 116th Windhund division.

I've seen numerous photos of Grenadiers from Panzer Lehr wearing Panzeranzug.
