Airsoft News announced an MG-42/MG-3 in the works, with the source apparently being reliable. This still doesn't guarantee production however since it appears some Ultima MG-3 owners claim their gun is identical to the one in the picture. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED! airsoft-news.eu/news.php

I'm in a wait and see mode on this one. No hurry if it comes out I will have one. I may wait for the MG42 version or get this one and take off that damn rail and do some faux finish bakelight parts...

"This is the farb police, please take off your rail and put the gun down slowly..." Just kidding, ;D but I'm wondering if this gun will ever even actually come out at all...

www.air-sharp.com . I own one too, they really are quite the fun gun, I love mine. FYI these are made by killbucket, a member on this sight. back to the mg3/mg42. Hopefully it will come out, but I'm not holding my breath until I learn more.

The rail is an easy fix. Other minor cospmetic upgrades as well appear doable. Hopefully this gun will come out expeditiously and affordably. Keep the WW2 replicas coming!

German MGs are better than American! Their rate of fire was heavier than the Browning, and they are more beautiful!!!
I'm joking, I lova the MG42 but also a good .30 caliber will be good!!!

Shouldn't be a farb, as the way I see it, this is just an Ultima MG3. They've been out of stock from some places for some time, and have never been widely available. Perhaps they've now getting a new batch ready, and have decided to do some simple marketing. You can get the same gun WITHOUT the rail, WITHOUT OD, WITH PERIOD drum from www.gunsnguys.comCues: That horrible, stupid electrical switch safety under the cocking handle rail, MG3 drum mag with an airsoft feed tube, OD parts + modern drum, paint and a stupid-looking rail doesn't make it an MG3 when what you need first is the bolt-on AA front sight. It would be news if the bodies would not be made by SHOEI, as they have been before. I'm sure that would cut the price significantly. I am very dubious, but then again, the Chinese have shown similar willingness to invest - they did make the stamping presses for the MP40 receivers. You can't tell from the pic, because the only shot with left-side rear receiver showing is low-resolution and of the whole gun.

You're probably right but that certainly isn't waht's implied by virtue of the news release which indicates an all new product. Hopefully considerably less expensive then the one featured in GuysnGuns!
