Does anyone have a scource for a good quality replica of a 1940's era pocket watch? I'm not interested in paying $2000 for an original, but I would like to have something that actually works.

I'm assuming you've checked eBay, why don't you check a local antique store or pawn shop?

EBay prices were way out of line with what I am willing to spend on a timepiece that will get used once or twice a year. ;D I don't really want an original when a cheap replica will do just fine. I'm still doing some research and may be able to find a decent look-alike but thought I'd ask here first.

I got one off ebay for 10,02$ including shipping...not world class, but decent quality, have worked for a while now, and of a period design....i'm sorry i can't remember the sellers name, but try and look around.
