I also handled it at the NAM game and have handled real ones. It is heavy for an airsoft weapon but about half the weight of a real one. I certainly concur that it is awesome and that Big Ed did a great job as he does with all his custom work.

Big Eds gun alone is 15 which is technically less than half the weight of a real one. I remember when my son was 15 complaining what a pig our TOP M60 was and he didn't believe me when I told him a real one weighed more than twice as much and with a couple hundred rounds of ammo way, way, less.
I think if every airsofter had to lug a brick for every 150 rounds of ammo they wanted to carry the airsoft hobby would change considerably.
