???I am looking for a 30 cal. kit or an explanation on how to build one. I took a peak at air-sharp, seems pretty cool, but I need more than a pattern. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on one. I have a few guys ,two in which want to be a 30 cal. team. I said great !!! now I can't find one. I see them on you tube but still no help. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

I also just found some info saying that most of the 30 cals. that are home fabbed use M14s as the guts. But what is the best brand of M14?

The best brand M14 is the CYMA, its shoots harder then any other and is still on the cheap side. You can probably get one for $120 to $200. It shoots at 380 fps.

I think I'm going with the air-sharp pattern to start. But I need some kinda instructions on which M14 is the best, how to put it in the new 30 cal. body, and maybe Ol' Guiness will bring it to life with amazing realism skills. That guy has got it goin on when it comes to making it real.

Sgt. Tom! I was thinking about getting that same one. Everyone wants to put CYMA down but last weeks battle me and my firing squad have M1A1s and we dominated !!!

From a demilled 1919a4. I made the right side plate, and tripods, pintles and T&E. A star 249 gearbox will fit and align perfectly, a PGC 249 gearbox will also work, a CA 249 gearbox will not fit. AK v3 hopup, relay trigger. Building the gun is half the battle. You have to mount it something, or go the 1919a6 route with bipod and stock. M2 tripod, Mk1 ER tripod, M3 tripod for .50 cal. Hoping to repro a 1917a1 tripod this winter. ///ed///

You can't really get easier than following Airsharps pattern. print it glue it on the substrate and cut and drill.

Oh another thing Charlie Nov. My birthday is in Nov. and my wife gave me the goahead for Anzio! I just have to get some last minute things for my impression. Does it matter what chevrons I have on my field jacket? I have Sgt. chevs. right now but if I need to go to like Pvt. or Cpl. I will. I'd just like to keep it as realistic as possible you know.

I don't think they have instructions for putting the M14 in there but it should be pretty easy to figure out. As far as rank you can wear sgt stripes if you want. Don't forget to register.

1. Mount the barrel and hopup first. 2. Align and mount the gearbox. 3. Design the feed system and connect it to the hopup. 4. Work on the electrical, trigger switch, wiring and place for the battery.

There is a detailed thread on assorted ways to rig your feed systems and the instructions are quite clear. I'm pretty sure with the Air Sharp kit it likewise includes suggestions on how to set the feed box up so you have a ssveral thousand round feed box that uses an adaptation of the M14 hi cap mag that comes with the M14 and together with a celenoid drives the system off your AEG battery. Spend a little time researching back through the odl threads and your questions should be answered.

Use the search function, or just go manually skim the threads in the technical section. It will take you all of 2 minutes to find a pertinent thread. That's what 2nd Bat meant by 'spend time researching'.

Where do you live? I will get someone right on out to hold your hand through this whole thing. Do prefer bottle feeding or are you up to pablem yet? Incidently you realize this will not be an inexpensive project in either funds or time?
I love the enthusiasm but gads take a little time to get grounded in reality.
