Came acrossed this Chinese repro company on ebay and was wondering if anyone here has any experiences with them. Their prices almost seem too good to be true however, their merchandise seems to be up to par especially, for airsofting. stores.ebay.com/dawlong-militariaPS: I am also looking to order the rest of my kit through other various sites including: achtung-blitzkrieg.com, ima-usa.com, and of course atthefront.com......Would also love any opinions of customer service and quality from these vendors as well. Please PM me if you feel uncomfortable stating your opinions as all imput is welcomed! Danke! Justin

I have a full set of M44 DOTs and matching parka from Dawlong, as well as a Plane tree no. 3 Smock and zeltbahn. All of it is well made and the colors have held up well to cold water washing after games. The smock appears to be exactly the same being sold by a number of other vendors and I saw several of them at a recent blank fire event. I've also dealt with ATF and IMA a good bit. Both have excellent products and ATF generally gets me my order in 3 days. ;D Take a look at Landser outfitters as well. They sell very high quality NEW MADE steel canteens and aluminum cups as well as zeltbahns and other field gear. Excellent customer service and items ship next day after purchase.

Sorry, but the wife doesn't allow it back in the house until it's been washed. ;D I've lived in the same clothes for over a month while folks were shooting at me for real. That smell is NOT something I'm interested in recreating.

What does especially for airsofting mean? Forget dawlong, go with Ant-Z militaria: stores.ebay.com/ANT-Z-MILITARY_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsxQ3asstQQtZkmFor a chinese dealer his customer service was SUPERB! I bought one of his M43 keilhosen, M43 tunic and a Fallschirmjager trouser, his stuff is far better quality than Sturm with the correct cut & just about on par with Janke! and dirt cheap these cost me $160 shipped. I will post a thread on the Axis history forum about his stuff even the so called "stitch Nazis" agree.

Here it is: forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=137489&st=0&sk=t&sd=aIt is 27 pages so you may hve skim through some of it! Chen, the owner of ANT-Z has reached out through this thread to reenactors to find out how to make his products better, he has has purchased tunics from all his competition (STurm, Janke Spearhead) and posts pics of them side by side, inside and out.

What I meant when I said "especially for airsofting" was that I'm into airsofting and now that has led me into the WW2 genre. I don't really want to be a full blown reenactor just yet, maybe in the future when I have more money to spend, so perfection is not my goal. I want it to be close without spends thousands of dollars. I'm only interested in repro's I don't really care to own the real thing. Just want to be able to go out with my friends and have some WW2 fun. Thats all.....thats what I meant. No offense to any of you whom are reenactors. I will most likely become one in the future as I find myself becoming obsessed with ww2 stuff now. LOL

JazzyJ, You can put together a great quality infantry kit for under $1000 easily!
remember WWII airsoft- reenacting with airsoft weapons, quality or authenticity should not be of lower standards because we are airsofting!

Thats all good if anyone else plays WWII airsoft in your area. ;D I've tried for two years to get some guys out of their modern gear and into WWII uniforms. I would show up in full kit from head to toe. Everyone thought it was 'cool', but no way were they going to give up their tricked out M4 with full bling and Multicam uniforms for feldgrau. I still show up in WWII German gear, but I have adapted an'airsoft only' impression that blends cool with practical to allow me to stay competative. I don't take any of the 'good stuff' to an airsoft event anymore.

Ripper, that is precisely my point. It is extremely diffiicult to get anyone around here just to be dedicated to airsoft. What I mean by that is, actually worry about doing necessary upgrades and even being able to schedule skirmish's. I have 1 (thats right 1) guy who is into wwii as much as I am and he is going with a marine raiders impression. I have priced my entire kit out and it comes out to about $600 which for me right now, is a lot of money. Especially, since I'll be the only one out there just as Ripper has said. I'm working on meeting people here and I might have 2 more axis guys to hook up with but, I'm trying not to get ahead of myself here. Naturally, when I get more familiar with some of the gear and continue my research, I will surely get a lot more serious but for now, close is all I'm concerned with. *side note: Unlike most of the guys here, I got into airsoft BEFORE the reenacting thing. I'm not really planning on getting into reenacting (although I see it coming! ) So for me, it was airsoft mil-sim first!

I played this last weekend in my 'airsoft SS' uniform. Oak-B smock with matching helmet cover AND matching oak-B (spring) trousers. Service shirt under the smock. Leather suspenders, belt and post war MP44 pouches with two canteens (field rule) on belt hangars. Breadbag carried spare BB's and snacks. Short boots with leggings. Radio (field rule) carried in a smock pocket. I used my Ultima MP44 for the first half of the day and then switched to an MP40 for the afternoon. I can carry 12 MP40 mags in the MP44 pouches and nobody out there cared that the pouches wern't 'right' for the gun. ;D That gave me a whopping 600 BB's worth of mags. Maybe a third of what most guys were carrying. BUT, I still got some good kills with the MP40 and had fun doing it. The uniform is a bit too Flaggrantly Wrong for a real WWII game or the anal retentive stitch nazi's, but it impresses the hell out of the modern camo crowd and I blended into the foliage far better than their WC and DCU uniforms ever hoped to. Ya gotta love the foliage loops on the smock and helmet covers!! ;D
