I know that sks never made its way to wwII(, since it was made after it), but here it is anyway.
Ever since i first heard of sks i thought it would be cool to have it as an airsoft gun. I scanned through the Internet and all i could find was that plastic springer. After 3 months of discontinuous planning i started making it. I had an airsoft m16 precision barrel, aps-2 m170(3joule) spring and some few parts(sights) from Finnish m39 rifle. The rest i was about to make my self.
The machinery is built entirely of metal, mostly iron. The mag holds about 12 BBS. It cant be removed, just like in real gun. To load the gun you have to pull the bolt back, and then feed BBS in with a modded bbloader. After 5 shots there might sometimes occur some double-feed. The gun has an adjustable, homemade hop up.
Some pictures of the progress, unfortunately not from the beginning...

Thanks to the flexible spring inside the bayonet you can actually "stab" someone with it without making any real damage... Here comes pictures of the finished gun(sry about the darkness, my mistake.):

These two pictures below show the unrealistic "field-strip". In the 1st picture you can see the piston(which means the gun is loaded).

I'm new here, so please forgive me if i have violated against any of the server rules/norms.
