Im starting my Axis german impression and im thinking and cant decide... someone please show me a nice helmet for under 60$ ( ive already spent enough on helmets but more on that later ) im either going with ebay or with a motorcycle helmet repro. or with this www.cushmanpaintball.com/GermanHelmetPage.html( Do original liners work with these?) Thanks in advance if you have something better than these im all ears! |

If I got the cushman kraut helmet i would put a little extra money in getting an SS Oak-leaf cover for it. The contour lines on that helmet just don't appeal to me. I think the cover would help that tremendously. Original liner? Its a plastic shell so I'm sure it would'nt be hard to mark and drill. I would find specs on where to mount it. Other than that I think if some strange reason I wanted to be a kraut ,LOL.....jk....I would pull an SS impression, get that helmet and with the money saved , buy an SS Oak-Leaf cover for it. Thats just me. PM Gordak, he's got all the answers on kraut impressions. Now, B4 I forget , CharleyNovember has an awsome FJ impression. Spend a little more for a steel reproduction or stick with a soft cap for now and save your money for one, and I used to have an FJ impression...now I just have 82nd and a few small German pieces.

Just save up your allowance one more week! The chin strap on that helmet is not correct so you may get away with just having to dye it black. |

Speaking of IMA i ordered a british original broadie and it should be here today at some point.
I did see REALLY cheap steel pots on ebay so i might look into something a little better like a steel or something

Yeah you don't want a cushman helmet. I got one for a movie, and the plastic literally ripped. They could have a use, but for the work and effort, just buy a metal one. My budget doesn't exactly contain the funds for one, but thats a different story.

German Helmets Inc. Period. Original M42 Shells for around $200 with new liner. Fits great and looks much better than a repro (duh). The textured paintjob on these make putting a helmet cover on them darn near a crime (This is as close as I'm going to get to restarting the helmet cover debate  ) I agree with CN. If less than $60 is your pricepoint, go with a soft cap and save up for a good helmet. That's what I did, and of course that makes it right ;D |

u can prob get an orig. for around the same price as a repop, and just do the paint job ur self, applesauce if u get one of those redone helmets u might as well spend another 100 bucks and get ur self a real single decal heer helmet lol

I'm not so hot on the decals myself which is why I went with an unadorned one. Plus once you smear the helmet with mud you wouldn't see it anyway.

why whats wrong with them do they take their sweet time shipping? If he even ships it! No joke I called him 10 times in the 5 months I waited for my order and every time he told me he sent it out yesterday! It is a shame 'cause it is quality stuff at good prices but the service I had was miserable, I would just pay the extra $ and order from Grigsby or 1944 militaria and leave the headaches behind! It is the same stuff. |

oh no dont order with grigsby unless ur right next to him, eric forgets to ship stuff out, a bunch of my friends ordered from him online and had to wait months until the next event he was at to get there stuff. only time i deal with eric is when im standing next him and hand him my cash straight up...
