Has anybody had good experiences with AZR? I've heard very, very mixed reviews, but they are my only path to a M1928 kit.
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving

Why NOT to order from AZR Machine:
NOTE: This is my personal experience. I am not commenting on the company altogether, but rather, on my experience in dealing with them.
To start out, this company was very professional and all around helpful with answering any questions I had about their product, a conversion kit for an M14.
I ordered the kit soon after all of my probing was done. The kit took 22 days to make. Hand carved wood and metal was soon sent out via UPS. This is where things started to go awry.
The kit was (as I suspected) held up at customs for a little bit. After it got through, the package was deemed as ‘lost’ from UPS. I opened a trace on the package and was told that any further information regarding the packages whereabouts would be sent ONLY to the shipper.
I began contacting the shipper on a regular basis but was met with an empty inbox. The shipper refused to contact me any further on the issue. He would not respond to any further questioning I had regarding the shipment and it’s progress in UPS. After 2 full weeks, the shipper STILL did not answer any of my questions, or respond, by any means of contact, to me.
I wanted to see if the shipper had gone offline, or perhaps was away for a duration of time, and COULDN’T respond. I had a close friend email him an general inquiry. He responded no sooner then a handful of hours later. Effectively proving he was indeed online, but still not replying to me.
Today, the trace was closed at UPS. The package has been lost and the shipper refused to contact UPS with the information they requested from him, apparently over and over. He refused to produce the correct documentation, after being probed by both UPS and myself.
A UPS agent told that the company had contacted him on more then a few occasions, requesting more information about the shipment, but he was absolutely no help, and would not return their calls.
At this time, I am past the paypal 45 day window for any type of claim, and as such can not be reimbursed by them at all. I have lodged a complaint with paypal. UPS can offer no aid for me either as they are liable to the shipper. Luckily, Mastercard will have this issue resolved for me.
I would STRONGLY suggest that any person looking for a custom M14 kit look elsewhere. It is my experience that the shipper does in fact produce the product (which has yet to be seen, obviously.) and he does in fact ship it. If anything should happen to your shipment along the way, however, do not expect ANY kind of help, even if the shipping company REQUIRES help from AZR Machine Co…

I have had nothing but a good experience with him. Hes a great guy and very easy to work with. His product is great, not perfect but exceptional. When I ordered my M1 Garand conversion it was finished within 3 months and shipped to my front door. Through the whole process he sent me pictures of my rifle and the batch he was making at the time. (If any of you question it I will post the pictures) Overall great product and an even greater guy to deal with. A+ in my book. If you want to have a positive experience in buying a conversion this is the guy to seek out. Tell him Robert Furci referred you to him and he will treat you right.
Also please don't post any flames in this thread. Unless you have personally dealt with him I don't want a rambling idiotic following my post. Thanks

Slow your roll rambo, no one has jumped on you here. ...Looks like that is two different experiences from two different customers. Something to think about for sure. There are some people on the UK WW2 forums that have bought stuff from him and it showed up just fine I would post this question there as well or just search the forums over there.

Slow your roll rambo, no one has jumped on you here. I am just not wanting 3 or 4 PMs again from angry people from the last thread accusing me of not knowing what I was talking about.....even though they had never ever dealt with him as opposed to me dealing with him personally.

AZR send me kit M-14 (AGM) to M-1 Garand with no finished screw, with no good length of the butt stock and no good butt stock position. I used this conversion kit as base for next work to obtain final product which is in the end very good. Mr. Richard is friendly and we discussed all the problem. Some photos are on page: ww2.headhunters-praha.net/index.php?topic=47.msg15428#msg15428Finally thanks AZR for this kit.

I think this may have been posted elsewhere on this forum but this seems to be the right place to repeat it, a lot of guys on the UK CiA forum did a bulk buy of 1928 parts which to put it bluntly turned out to be a right load of cr@p, for the full story follow the link. www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/php/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5183&start=0

I ordered 2 Garand conversion kits for the AGM M14 as well, and had a pretty bad experience with them about it. Stock was cracked, from the rear of the trigger guard and stretching around the pistol grip on BOTH rifles, the machining looked like something I could have done after a week long drinking bing and I had to modify every metal part to get them to fit together. When I asked them about the problem, they said it was the shippers fault (UPS), but their packaging of the products was to wrap them individually in newspaper and package them in one box, which fit them very tightly, and then wrap 2 layers of packing tape around the entire affair. I have shipped with UPS for years, and I can tell you that they are not great about not damaging things, which is why everyone who ships with them regularly packages their products carefully, but this was really beyond anything I could imagine in dealing with them for the first time and as one manufacturer to another. I was not very happy with them through this, and to be basically blown off when asking if they would take responsability for the damages really bothered me, especially when I was talking to them about buying one of their designs. I won't deal with them again, and I tell all the people I know to avoid them as well.
