After playing a small skirmish yesterday, I realized my CYMA thompson needs something better than the stock battery. So what batteries do you guys use? Also, whats a good charger to get? Thanks

I was told a good battery to get for $22 but I can no longer find the thread. So I need to know too. I have a chinease battery that came with my M14 but it doesn't last very long. Maybe 3 hours at most.

I've got an 8.4 2000MAH battery for my TM Thompson, and use a standard wall charger. I'm hoping to get a smart charger soon, but the battery lasts a long time.

I think I fried mine out overcharging them. Guess I should get new ones anyways...

I use this charger: pointact.com/prod_CHR-01_charger_701_33.htmland i have both an intellect 1200 mah 9.6 volt mini and the original battery in my stock after i removed that stupid foam block, or i have a powerizer 8.4v 4200 mah large where the foam originally was. At one point i had 4 minis in my stock, kind of jammed in, but i never ran out of battery, until i got the large, which fits nicely and lasts forever.

A smart charger like the one shown is a very worthwhile investment. The wall chargers have to be carefully monitored and as often as not fry your batteries or cut their total lfe significantly. The batteries and chargers that come "free" with your Chinese guns are not very good and should be enhanced with better quality batteries relegating the battery that came with the gun into a backup role. A quality battery with ample Mahs will power your gun for the whole weekend and last through many many recharges if you get quality to begin with and use a good quality charger.
An easy way to think about batteries is the Voltage indicates how much torque or horsepower the battery is capable of and the Mahs indicate how large your fuel tank is.

Most of us here in NZ have shifted to lipos, i use a 7.4 1800mah in small guns like my MP40 and an 11.1 2300mah in my thompson and other guns, never had a problem with it.

I should be getting the one posted earlier, along with an Intellect 8.4v 1400 Mah battery. Thats for now, I'll upgrade in the future.
