One thing that bothered me about my Garand conversion was the gaping hole that is magwell. On a real M1 this space should be a solid plate that is connected to the trigger assembly. I poured over different ways to latch in a modified real trigger assembly that I had cut down to size. But it just dawned on me. The real assembly is steel, and therefore is attracted to....magnets. So I just cut out a small section on the magwell, attached two sets of small magnets that i bought at Lowes and now the modified trigger assembly holds tight, yet can be removed easily for mag changes. Pictures will be up soon.

I'm using shotgun mags. And the assembly fits over the mags.
