Hi there, First let me present myself. I am very new to this (Magnifical)Forum so I dont know much about where should I post my following question. Next I live in Spain and I own a TM MEU SOC and a CA M14 Scout(now a M21SW) And my question is: I want to buy a Garand that accepts green gas. Ive searched every airosft web page that sells MARUSHIN Garands and came up with only 1 that uses Green gas. www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2654 But of course, AirsoftGI doesnt ship to Spain. Can the Garand tanker version use green gas? P.S Sorry for my somewhat bad english... TY

Well the export version(SI Garand) shoots much harder then the original reg 250 vs SI 350 fps. The SI also takes Green Gas and has a lot less problems then the original. I am not sure what the tanker ld-2 is.

Neither is a game playable gun as both present reliability and consistency issues as well as troublesome reloads that prevents either from being skirmishable. They are fun plinkers (until they break) and then become really nice wall props. The Tanker edition won't serve in that capacity as it is NOT an actual WW2 issued variants (as mentioned earlier) I owned two and they both broke within two months and less than300 rounds through them. I know people with the green gas edition and theirs lasted perhaps 800 rounds!
Every conceivable screw has to be tightened and have an appropriate amount of loctite glue attached or the gun will simply eat it's young. Even with the extreme dilligence and advice from every technical thread imaginable it's not a case of if it's going to fail but simply a case of how long before it does.

just buy one from Airsoft Extreme, it will break in a month, then get one of 2ndbat's m14-m1 conversion.

It's sad but I easily have a couple dozen customers that did just that. They didn't want to spend the extra money buying one of mine and ended up ultimately buying both. Even if the Marushin was durable (which they aren't) you'd easily spend the difference on gas, extra clips and 8mm BBs.
I had no intention of building Garand AEGs until I had such horrible experience with both of mine and discovered that everyone else was in the same boat.
